Areyouwinningson?

This is Dana Greenleaf’s senior thesis short film, ‘Areyouwinningson?’. The 10 minute short is the result of Dana’s research into pornography discord chat rooms. The film follows a chat room administrator as he interacts with the memebers of the server in a dream-like visualization of the digital world.

On this project I worked with Dana to develop the visual language of the film. We planned each of the virtual sets during preproduction and I came on set to help film the green screen shots.

During post production I created all the virtual sets in Blender and rendered them using Blender’s real time renderer Eevee. We did not have access to workstation PC’s so we used Mac computers for the entire workflow.

In February of 2022 the film was published on Donotresearch.net a blog and online community dedicated to art and internet culture.
